Yesterday, I was given news that has jeopardized a big project that I’ve been working on in the past few months. A project that could result into hundreds of thousands or even millions in revenue being made in the coming years.
For the integrity of the people and project, I won’t elaborate on the details. However, it disappoints me that so much hard work can disappear in an instant. I’m just a mere by standard. It saddened me, that something so great is on the brinks of being allayed forever.
So what have decided to do at this point of time?
I could cry, sulk, and feel angry. However, I made a decision to re up. As fast my hard work could potentially go down the drain, the world is full of other opportunities to counter it.
My friend yesterday texted me in response to this situation, “You must be the most rational and unemotional person in the world.”
Not true! I have tough skin. I told her emotions have no place in business, it’s a mental game.
So moral of the story is…in business we all have ups and downs. This even most true when you are young and emerging. However- don’t get phased, and keep pushing.
In the meantime….I really hope this situation gets sorted.
