Meet Ajani…

It is minutes to midnight, he is lost in downtown Miami, has to catch route eleven for a one hour-forty minute bus ride to his neighborhood, then takes a twenty minute walk home, finally reaching after one o’clock in the morning.

“That night there was a big music industry event, I had to go out and meet new people…it takes sacrifice. No matter how long it takes, you have to do it. At the end of the day, no one is going want to hear about if’s, it’s about getting things done.”

Those were his days as an undergrad in college, which he spent time in between school jumping on airplanes, driving hours and hours, and hoping buses to pursue his aspirations.

Nevertheless, while in college he got to work with Latin Grammy nominated producer Fredy Camelo, most noted for the hit, “Dia Tras Dia” performed by Andres Cepeda, and has been taught first hand by platinum selling and Grammy Nominated producer, Ill Factor at SAE production courses.

“Working and learning from those guys, was absolutely phenomenal. Learning from somebody who has worked with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Rowland, Ill’s production is like magic and I’d like to thank him for that. Freddy, a great and phenomenal producer, there’s nothing more I can say!”

Besides just being a writer, he has taken up the role of a music entrepreneur. Boasting a small but very eclectic roster, Ajani started his own music publishing company -Griffith Music Publishing- with signed acts from North and Latin America.

“This is a very exciting time. I managed to sign some artists from Panama, and various parts of United States and partnerships in Canada. The company has scored some credits, including doing the soundtrack for the upcoming feature “I Before Thee.” It has been a very good start,” he exclaims.
